Swan KR-06 (pressure (n) and non-pressure pipeline (b/n)) is designed for the organization of wastewater metering in medium and large diameter pipelines.
Two variants are produced:
  • Pressure pipeline.
  • Pressure-free pipeline or gravity collector (has an additional sensor for the level of flowing liquid).
The principle of operation of a stationary kit with overhead sensors Swan KR-06:
    Operation on gravity pipelines and collectors is ensured by continuous measurement of the filling level and the average fluid flow rate. The measurement of the average fluid flow rate is carried out by the Doppler method, using standard units of the Swan flow meter. The flow meter sensors are installed at the bottom of the pipeline and measure the flow rate at any filling level. The filling level measurement is provided by a sensor and an additional level measurement unit - BIU. The level measurement unit is equipped with an indicator rail that displays the degree of filling of the pipeline or collector as a percentage of the maximum level. Depending on the profile of the pipeline or collector, the actual cross-sectional area occupied by the fluid flow is automatically recalculated. In the processor unit, the cross-sectional area of the fluid flow is multiplied by its average velocity, which is the volumetric flow rate of the fluid in a gravity pipeline or collector. Thus, a direct measurement is made. The measurement results are transmitted via the communication line to the power supply and display unit, and are displayed on the display as a cumulative total, or as an instantaneous value of the volume flow of liquid in cubic meters per hour.
The flow meter is installed on pipelines with nominal passage diameters from 50 to 1600 mm, with a wall thickness from 2 to 20 mm, - for metal and plastic pipelines.
